Frequently asked questions
What makes a good cover letter?
250-400 words: the role you're applying for, 2-3 concrete achievements that answer what the posting asks for, why the company interests you and a request for an interview. No empty clichés.
Does it adapt to the country?
Yes. English letters open with "Dear Hiring Manager,", French ones use an "Objet" line and the classic closing formula, Portuguese ones "Exmos. Senhores,", and Spanish ones end the greeting with a colon.
Does it make things up about me or the company?
No. It only uses facts from your resume and the posting; sentences that attribute numbers or requirements not in your resume are removed automatically.
